NLCB has dumped Selby Browne as a Director of its five-man Board for reasons which they have not disclosed but which many are saying has to do with his tampering with a Gtech tender.
People are saying that IGT (the on-line lottery service) had formally lodged a complaint and this angered NLCB’s Line Minister, Colm Imbert, who showed Selby the door.
Many persons were wondering how Selby could have been put on a money institution since it is well known that hungry fowl cannot watchman corn. It has been said that Selby had also made promises of gifts of NLCB sponsorship to several organisations including the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association none of which ever materialized.
Another casualty on the Board is Sunita Harrikissoon, Attorney at Law. There are now only three members on the Board all of whom were there previously – Eustace Nancis, former Mayor of Arima and also a member of the Heritage Board, Dwight Andrews and Cindy Manson.
